Destiny

Our marriage is beginning,
every moment meaningful.
Today the birds are singing,
our marriage is beginning.
With lives now full of meaning,
so much will be wonderful.
Our marriage is beginning,
every moment meaningful.

Fascination

You fascinate me,
the way that you are.
Everyone can see,
you fascinate me.
Yes, you hold the key,
my bright shining star.
You fascinate me,
the way that you are.

Harmony

Whispering within the dark,
moments of tranquility.
Touching lightly in the park,
whispering within the dark.
Gently, we will find the mark,
sharing soft reality.
Whispering within the dark,
moments of tranquility.

Beautiful

Breathing unevenly, he is drawn to
Every essence of her being.
Ardent eyes flash from
Under the flowing dark tresses that
Tumble around pale shoulders.
Inviting is that oval face as
Full lips whisper of love
Under the stars together.
Leaving him helpless, prey.

Enraptured

She fell into his eyes.
The moment had arrived.
Fate cast him in this guise,
she fell into his eyes.
It came with such surprise,
her spirit seemed revived.
She fell into his eyes.
The moment had arrived.

Merciless

He just wanted to know why,
as she slowly turned away.
When the moment drew nigh,
he just wanted to know why.
Then she left him there to die,
she had nothing more to say.
He just wanted to know why,
as she slowly turned away.

When The Rain Came

She was watching for the rain
when the final moment came.
There was barely any pain,
she was watching for the rain.
The peace summit was in vain
as each country laid the blame.
She was watching for the rain
when the final moment came.

Weeping

Behold The Willow,

seeping with bitter knowledge!
Desolate days loom.

Dark clouds silhouette
weary yellow strands, dripping
barren willow dreams.

Empty branches hold
yesterdays festering wounds.
Alas, cold willow!

Howling wind slices
frozen willow tears amid
rueful endurance

Vacant, frigid limbs
await the coming of spring,
while weeping inside.

The Ballad of Pete Blue

To some they say, the silver spoon,
for at their feet, the gold is strewn.
A lovely bride for them will swoon,
at every boon, at every boon

Just such a man once was Pete Blue,
his every whim he did imbue.
With each venture his riches grew,
more to pursue, more to pursue.

His gentle wife with loving trust,
a lifelong friend strong and robust,
soon all of it would end as must,
his unjust lust, his unjust lust.

Forbidden fruit upon his eye,
his best friend's wife that hot July.
He set to work with methods sly,
for she was shy, for she was shy.

This southern girl's radiant smile,
she was innocent to Pete's wile.
His advances were versatile,
made to beguile, made to beguile.

He wooed her when she came to town,
but to her vows she remained bound,
yet whispered rumors did abound,
they went around, they went around.

Her husbands manner became steel,
suspicious from the gossip's zeal.
He wondered what she might conceal,
it was surreal, it was surreal.

He loved his wife with all his heart,
resolved to keep them both apart.
The good book to her would impart,
lest they depart, lest they depart.

Oh, how confused was his young wife,
for every day was full of strife.
The tension thick within their life,
cut like a knife, cut like a knife.

In this man, so sweet to marry,
jealousy was so contrary.
Life for her along the prairie,
the canary, the canary.

When the day came, when she was numb,
Pete just knew that his chance had come.
With sympathy, she would succumb.
He gave her rum, he gave her rum.

A careless touch, a careful squeeze,
outside of town he would appease.
Within the barn soon on her knees,
for him to please, for him to please.

This southern belle her hair so fair,
his ardent charms so debonair.
Adulterous, they dabbled there,
without a care, without a care.

While in their tryst upon the hay,
her man, he found them with dismay.
Satisfaction on the next day,
the only way, the only way.

The pain he felt was so acute,
to clear her name of ill repute.
Although he did not want to shoot,
the point was moot, the point was moot.

Desperate at this cold decree,
abashed and wounded though was she,
she tried so hard to make them see,
to let it be, to let it be.

The coming duel that they would wage,
had quickly become all the rage.
The townsfolk had all come to gage
they would engage, they would engage.

The summer day was very hot,
a field was the appointed spot.
From their pistols, the sunlight caught,
before the shot, before the shot.

When back to back they paced the feet
as wind sighed in the fields of wheat,
her husband turned in the noon heat,
did not shoot Pete, did not shoot Pete.

Pete looked at him, and put him down,
shot in the chest with just one round.
Then there he lay without a sound,
upon the ground, upon the ground.

Her lover, now a killer fled,
a wanted man with hands of red.
Her husband, now his blood was shed,
he bled and bled, he bled and bled.

The belle ran to her husband side,
cursing her lover's unjust pride.
When in the dust his best friend died,
alone she cried, alone she cried.

Until under the burning sun,
still on her knees nowhere to run,
with trembling hands she took his gun,
her life was done, her life was done.

Some townsfolk, this violence did balk,
while others stood around to gawk.
Soon everywhere was heard a squawk.
there was the talk, there was the talk.

Word reached Pete's wife that fated eve
of truth that she would not perceive.
Her wistful love was so naive,
could not believe, could not believe.

When he returned to his own lands,
he could not face her just demands.
His scathing tongue, her heart in strands,
blood on his hands, blood on his hands.

He chased her in his rage and might.
She fled then, hiding out of sight,
then struck him down with bitter spite.
She jumped that night, she jumped that night.

Her raven beauty clothed in cream,
awash in starlit running stream,
she drowned there under midnight gleam,
no more to dream, no more to dream.

The lawmen, they arrived at dawn,
approached the house with weapons drawn,
his oaken door they did bang on
but he was gone, but he was gone.

Within, they found Pete twisting there,
justice hung, from the chandelier.
None of the people that lived near
would shed a tear, would shed a tear.

Betrayal and Pete's crumbling mind,
the sum of what was left behind.
No earthly rest was he to find,
for ghosts are blind, for ghosts are blind.

This tumble-down house on the hill
is rumored to be haunted still,
within its halls a deadly chill.
His wail is shrill, his wail is shrill.

Brown Eyes

Entwined within the vines of your love.
There, beneath the thrill of your touch.
Oh, these roses, they now seem
so insignificant,
when compared to you.
For now I am
lost inside
deep brown
eyes.

Devotion

When
we are
together,
my spirit soars.
Knowing you believe in me, my heart sings
melodies of joy that complete my soul.
Every sweet day
spent with you,
humbles
me.

Believe

Just
listen.
Every day,
miracles are
always alive within childrens laughter.
Innocence and purity can be found
by those of us,
who take time
to hear
them.

Impulse

Cannot the genesis of rising love
breathe the exquisiteness of harmony?
Or could these acts of fornication shove
pebbles on the shores of disharmony?

Will infatuation preserve passion,
between the bosoms of fondness reside?
Does devotion emerge out of fashion,
without commitment, simply cast aside?

No, these moments of tenderness are pure.
Gently, they share together in wonder,
nourished with honey kisses, to be sure.
Tracing unbound beauty, none may sunder.

Never will rain wash this ardor away,
everlasting love lives, beyond allay.

Exquisite Beauty

Burgeoning tremors rock the clouds,
quixotic fear within in their shrouds,
bring majesty beyond compare
where misty, ornate rainbows dare.

With ire of lightning in its dance,
clamor of thunder may entrance.
Rains aftertaste is in the air,
where misty, ornate rainbows dare.

Elucidate in its excess,
with multicolored hue caress,
here natures spirit without care,
where misty, ornate rainbows dare.

Burgeoning tremors rock the clouds
where misty, ornate rainbows dare.

Seashore

Always fondly, I'll remember
when my heart was tough as leather.
How could one know in December,
even a stoic life could thaw.
Your heart showed me that together
loves house need not, be made of straw.

Our sweet villa on the seashore
sighed under the nights gloaming tips.
The transition was to our core,
an abundance of deep feeling.
Ever ambrosial were your lips,
each taste revealing and healing.

Always fondly, I'll remember
our sweet villa on the seashore.

Summer

There is summer in my soul.
All the thoughts inside of me
are now all that I can see,
will just never let me be.

Within darkness I'm a mole:
Paranoia all I heed,
deep inside a bitter seed,
seems to fill an ancient need.

Day dreams smoldering in coal
and my mind can feel the heat.
In my heart an anxious beat,
from the dangers I must treat.

Even now the bells do toll:
Wrench me away from the goal
that one day I could be whole,
no more summer in my soul.

Naked

Look at me, look at who I am!
Never mind, the mental illness.
Bipolar defines me poorly,
surely it affects me sorely.
They medicate me, to stillness.
Journal, like a freaking exam.

Depressive overdose of pills,
nor mania, helped with my ills.

The pastoral homestead, denied.
Achromatic branches of strife;
on beaten paths, cannot be mine,
for on them, I can never shine.
Exquisite then, must be my life,
augury, of a lustrous stride.

Alone

With

each beat
of my heart
I am waiting,
wondering what I will do without you.
Missing your touch, longing for those soft words.
Remembering,
wistfully,
each kiss.
Torn.

Subtle

Soft murmurs flow delicately,
Underlie fluid motion
Beneath a blanket of nuance.
Traces of imperceptible
Loss sow fine lines,
Effuse with springs return.

Excessive

Eager they throng, batons tapping shields.
Xenophobic rage fills their tiny minds.
Callous of the pain they will inflict
Easily, upon the frightened crowd.
Striding forward in age weary lockstep, they advance.
Seething in fury, they crush resistance in a yellow cloud,
Indifferent monsters hiding behind gas masks.
Violently wrenching away the rights of the oppressed;
Even as time weary apathy observes, mute.
